Therapeutic modalities: Systemic, person-centred/humanistic, somatic, solutions-focused, feminist

I am not accepting new clients. If you are interested in working together, please place yourself on the waitlist for a new client consultation.

Please note: I do not work with police officers, security guards, peace officers, or prison employees. Thank you for your understanding.

My name is Rebecca and I use she/her pronouns or no pronouns. I believe that curiosity and humility about our role in systems of oppression, in our relationships to ourselves, and in our relationships to each other are some of the most important skills we can learn. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor, a graduate of Athabasca University’s Master of Counselling program and I completed a 400-hour practicum at the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton as part of this graduate program. I have also completed advanced level training in Somatic Experiencing.

I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to be kept company in the hard parts of being a person. Many of us have grown accustomed to feeling scared, feeling threatened, feeling like there will never be “enough.” Through therapy, clients can successfully learn trust and interdependence while coming to understand and accept the impacts of circumstances outside of any one individual’s control.

I use systemic, person-centred/humanistic, somatic, solutions-focused, and feminist therapies. I see anyone 18 and over in individuals or group settings. If your insurance plan covers services provided by Canadian Certified Counsellors, you will be able to submit receipts for reimbursement; I am not able to direct bill at this time. I offer sliding scale appointments and we can settle on a fee that will work for you whenever we first meet.
